How this affects the future
World of Tanks will be able to effectively use new advanced technologies on more modern PCs. The updated game engine will also provide new opportunities to enhance the look and feel of the game. This will lead to the gradual process of developing the quality of World of Tanks from one update to the next.
In case the game client closes unexpectedly when using higher settings, try to reset the settings in the launcher.
- Start the launcher
- Click the arrow next to the «Play» button
- Select «Launch the game with reset graphic settings»
If you experience any other problems after updating the game client, send us a ticket. Make sure to fully describe the problem in the ticket, including the list of actions you’ve already tried to solve the problem.
What difference does this make?
Moving to DX11 will change the way the game looks to some players, along with a performance boost for some computers. This performance improvement varies depending on the computer’s configuration. The most obvious improvements will appear on computers with two or more physical processor cores.
World of tanks — new french heavy branch in the future
Wargaming has plans to release a new mini-branch of French Heavy tanks, that will differ from the current auto-loader branch.
The plan is to have a second line that will be similar to AMX M4 mle. 49 in playstyle. I believe the mini-branch will start off current Tier VII AMX M4 mle. 45, and these three new Heavy tanks would be introduced. Featuring heavy armour, less mobility and a single shot gun, it would create an alternative line to the existing AMX 50 B branch.
The new branch will feature AMX 65t at Tier VIII, and Tier IX and X what it looks a variation of an AMX M4 hull with a T.C.B. turret. This information needs, of course, to be investigated and confirmed.
No confirmation if these vehicles will actually make it to the game, nor when if they do. I’ll update the article once I have more information.
